Woven by the women of the Nupe tribe, this piece was intended to be a part of a wedding. It was traditionally made by a member of the bride's family.
This piece consists of two panels sewn together in the center. The designs are the same and each panel was made at the same time, but the designs don't exactly line up. It is woven in a technique that only shows the design on one side.
