Saki-Ori Obi
When cloth is beyond any type of repair or reuse, the Japanese tradition of saki-ori involves tearing up the fabric into strips and weaving them together to create something new. This piece is expertly woven together using peach, white, yellow, and blue-gray scraps to create a subtle plaid design.
This sash was worn as an obi or belt. It would now make a perfect small table runner or wall hanging.
